bright sparks - kids art space

There will be free art activities between 10.00am - 4.00pm where children will work with a range of materials focusing on the theme of this year's lantern parade - 'Harvest'.

We hope that our dear festival friend Dirtgirl will drop by to see all the creativity filling the Kids Art Space. There will also be story telling, games, a jumping castle, stilt walkers, yummy food and fun like you won't believe!

Children can decorate their own lanterns to carry in the parade and we provide an array of colourful shapes to get the kids inspired. The Lantern decorating workshops are from 12 noon - 4.00pm, or until the lanterns run out. Cost is $11 per person/lantern.

This year, for the first time, we will present the Bright Sparks Stage, an opportunity for some young performers to showcase their talents alongside some well seasoned performers.

A perfect way to spend the day before Lismore's renowned parade and fiery spectacle begins.
