The Lismore Lantern Parade (LLP) once again invites Lismore CBD (and beyond) businesses to decorate their windows with lanterns, lights, projections and props to this year's festival theme celebrating our communities resilience in the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie - ‘our resilient heart’.

increase exposure for your business

  • Have your window display looking amazing on Tuesday 20 June at 6pm when Natsky (Fox Photo Den) will be taking photos of your window for the ‘People’s Choice’ competition.
  • Promote your window display on Facebook and Instagram and tag @lismorelanternparade so we can share your posts.
  • Use the following hashtags when promoting your window #lismorelanternparade #enchantedwindows #lismore
  • Take photos when setting up your window and share on Facebook and Instagram ... make sure you add the hashtags.
  • Promote your window display on social media and get family, friends and customers to ‘like’ and ‘share’ the Album on the Lantern Parade Facebook page.

  • The winning window display will receive a $1,000 advertising package from The Lismore Echo (conditions apply) plus a trophy.
  • Runners up receive a certificate and your choice of one of the following:
    • Customised onsite computer training with Powermax. Computers (Mac or Windows) valued at $100.
    • Business luncheon at Black Sombrero valued at $100.
  • Peoples' Choice. The window with the most ‘likes’ on the Lantern Parade Facebook album wins a $100 Gourmet Hamper from the Lismore Visitor Centre.
  • Voters for the Peoples’ Choice Winner will go into a draw and can win a $50 gift hamper from the Lismore Visitor Centre.

terms and conditions

  • All participating windows must include lanterns, fairy lights or projections (at least one).
  • The Lantern Parade can supply a limited lanterns for hire and are available on a first in first served basis.
  • All lanterns have 240v low wattage bulbs, tagged and tested.
  • Hired lanterns will be delivered to participating businesses by Wednesday 15th June or by arrangement. We offer 5 designs – Star, Sun, Gem, Diamond and Heart. (Some flowers available). Book early as numbers are limited.
  • We will collect lanterns after 30 June.
  • Businesses are responsible for the care of lanterns supplied.
  • LightnUp will provide Lantern Parade posters and flyers.
  • Windows to be displayed from 20 June to 30 June.

judging

Best Shop Front Window Award
This award will be determined by Lantern Parade judges on Tuesday 20 June from 6pm. The judges may also determine a runner/s up for this award. Judges decision is final and will be announced on Facebook on Friday, 30 June at 6pm.

People’s Choice Award for Best Shop Front Window
On the night of the judging, local photographer Natsky will be taking a photo of each shop front window.
Images of the shop windows will be posted to Facebook on Wednesday 21 June at 6pm. Facebook fans and followers will be asked to vote for their favourite shop front window. The window with the most ‘likes’ wins the People’s Choice Award of a Gourmet Hamper from the Lismore Visitor Centre.

Voters then go in the draw to win a $50 Gift Hamper from the Lismore Visitor Centre
The Facebook promotion will commence on Wednesday 21 June through to Friday 30 June with the winner announced on Facebook on Friday 30 June at 6pm.
