In 2013 LightnUp and the Lismore Lantern Parade was given notice to leave their home of the last 12 years.
Council, local businesses and suppliers assist the lantern parade each year with sponsorships and resources but, like many community organisations, LightnUp weaves its magic ‘on a shoe-string’.
An exhaustive search proved fruitless and given the high costs and scarcity of rental premises, it made sense for LightnUp to secure its own premises.
